Guests raising champagne glasses beneath festoon lights at a milestone celebration

Milestone Birthdays

A milestone birthday deserves more than a quiet meal and a card. Turning 18, 30, 40, 50 or somewhere beyond is worth a room full of your favourite people and at least one story that gets retold for years. FunFast supplies the kit that makes that happen, delivered, set up and collected anywhere within 30 miles of Faringdon. You book online in a few minutes, we handle the lifting, and you get to actually enjoy your own party.

Planning it well

Start with the venue and the curfew, in that order. Village halls across Oxfordshire are brilliant value for a big birthday, but most have a 10 or 11pm noise limit, which is exactly the problem a silent disco was invented to solve. Marquee in the garden? Lovely, just make sure there is power within reach and the neighbours have been warned or, better, invited. Book the kit for the evening slot and give yourself the afternoon to decorate.

Think about the shape of the night. Guests arrive in dribs and drabs, so give early arrivals something to do: a booth queue forms naturally and breaks the ice better than any seating plan. The dancing usually starts later than you hope, around the second round of drinks, so do not panic at 9pm. And if the guest list spans three generations, which milestone parties usually do, pick kit everyone can join in with. A photo booth does not care how old you are.

Milestone Birthdays: your questions

Our village hall has a 10pm noise curfew. Can we still have a proper party?

Yes, this is what the silent disco is for. The music goes through wireless headsets, so the hall stays quiet while your guests dance to three different channels until whatever time you are allowed to be in the building. The only sound is laughing and enthusiastic singing, and no one has ever had a noise complaint about that.

How much space does the 360 booth need?

A clear circle 3m across, ideally near the dance floor but out of the main walkway, plus one standard socket. It works in halls, marquees and barns with normal ceiling height, and outdoors on firm dry ground under cover. If you are unsure about your venue, put the details in the booking notes and we will check it.

Guests range from teenagers to grandparents. What actually gets used?

The booths, every time. Grandparents who swore they would sit quietly end up in the 360 booth with the teenagers, and the prints go home as keepsakes. The silent disco is the other great leveller, because three channels means the older crowd can have their music without anyone fighting over the playlist.
